COMEX ACHILLE M4

ACHILLE M4 system offer versatile underwater diverless inspection and intervetion capacities up to 400 msw by means of a colour video system.

It can be operated from a light surface support by two persons only.

Typical jobs for ACHILLE M4 are diver assistance (thus improving diver efficiency and safety) and underwater site surveys (wrecks, coral, shells, pipelines, etc.) in heavy polluted water, or difficult current conditions (up to 1,5 knots).

With the addition of purpose built tools, ACHILLE M4 is able to complete surface monitored underwater tasks, such as: wreck salvage, measurements and sample gathering,setting of explosive charge,rope cutting,etc.

ACHILLE M4 system consists of a free swimming underwater vehicle equipped with a colour T.V. camera, connected to the surface with a single coax umbilical and operated from a surface control unit, the picture being visualized on a colour monitor. This picture can be recorded with a viedeo recorder (SVHS, MDV, CD, DVD...) compatible with the delivered video signal.
ACHILLE M4 is equipped with four propulsion thrusters with one thruster for lateral motion.
